   Many levels have a standard goal and a special goal, the special goal requiring you to explore the stage a little more. The special goal has a red flag. You can use a walkthrough on a site like http://www.gamefaqs.com to help you find all the different exits to the levels.

   to unlock some you have to find a different path in the normal lv most are not that hard to find just pay attention to the map

   well some u unlock within the level, in those cases check a game guide (gamefaqs.com). For most you pay 5 coins to get them. Also to unlock the bonus worlds look at the map and theyll stem from another world, from the top of my head (and this is probly wrong) i believe that world 2 is connected to world 4, so anyways to unlock those u wud have to beat the boss using mini mario, you know, the one that jumps hi and can only get hhit once and stuff. So if i was right before then play the final boss in world 2 as mini mario to unlock world 4. Because if u remember after u beat a boss and you walk out of the level right before the sign there is a little hole, and mini mario falls thru that hole.
